Complete Regulator Sets consist of 4 components.

• The first stage, this is the engine of the regulator where most of the work is done, a good first stage is the most important part of a regulator set.
• Primary second stage, the mouthpiece that divers breath from, if the first stage is delivering well then a good second stage makes for a relaxed comfortable breath whilst diving.
• Octopus, the second stage that may be used by a buddy in the event of an low on air issue, needs to be reliable and functional as it will be  unused most of its life.
• Gauge, either a contents gauge or a computer transmitter or combination so that divers can monitor their air.
