Crewsaver Baby & Child Spiral Foam Lifejacket, A 100N Full Foam Lifejacket. The Child and Baby version of the Spiral are fully rated as an ISO 12402-4 approved lifejacket. This means that the child/baby wearing these lifejackets is fully supported in the water. They will be turned to a face-up position however they fall into the water offering airway protection.

The Spiral is fitted with a foam collar for head support. It also has crotch straps which must be used. The straps ensure that a small child or baby doesn’t slide through the lifejacket.

The Crewsaver Spiral is a great way to introduce kids to water safety and get them boating. Remember the best way to get children wearing lifejackets at sea is for the adults on the boat to be wearing them too!

Note regarding the larger size Spiral Jackets:

The larger sizes of the Child’s Spiral Find Here used to be rated as a lifejacket as well. However the standards have been increased, this means that they still offer 100n of buoyancy. But the speed the jacket rotates a casualty is not quick enough to be a Lifejacket.

This means the large Child and Junior versions are only rated as ISO 12402-5 approved 50N buoyancy aids. However these sizes still have 100N of foam buoyancy!  They are a great solution for those who want the reassurance of a jacket offering more protection and flotation. With a head collar and more airway support compared to a standard 50N buoyancy aid.
